LASER HAIR REMOVAL

LASER HAIR REMOVAL

De-fuzzing the best way we know with the LightSheer Duet; this award-winning laser is rated as one of the best on the market for all skin types. Using a suction technology, large areas of hair are quickly and less painfully removed through a series of treatments.

If hair reduction is your goal, come in for a consultation and get started on reducing unwanted hair. Best results are obtained with regularly scheduled sessions. Refrain from sun and self tanners, or anything causing a notable difference between skin color and hair pigment. Hairs must be dark and should be shaved - not plucked.

Common laser hair removal questions and answers:

What options are out there for laser hair removal?

There are a couple options, both of which rely on heated lights: laser beam or intense pulsed light (IPL). Lasers are

focused beams, whereas IPL uses interspersed flashes - IPL is not a laser. While we have both, we favor our diode laser for superior results.

How many visits will I need?

While one visit will result in some hair removal, it takes form 6-12 visits spread 3 weeks to 6 weeks apart to effectively reduce as much as 70-80% of the hair. Hair grows in cycles and the hair in the growth phase responds best. Skin with more pigmentation tends to response slower than adjacent lighter ares. After each session, you will see less and less hair regrowth and fewer ingrown hairs.

Is everyone a good candidate?

Lasers work best on people with pale skin and dark hair, but these days there are even options for women with dark skin and light hair. Keep in mind dark skin may require 2-3 more sessions. We do not recommend laser hair removal for blonde, red or grey hair.

Are results guaranteed?

Never trust a company that guarantees permanent hair removal. While it's impossible to predict how quickly hairs will disappear, we will coach you on ways to ensure the most optimal results for you. Best practice includes regular follow-up, avoidance of sun, self-tanners and other pigment enhancers, and no plucking or waxing during treatment. A consultation in person is the best way to get an estimation of the time, number of treatments and cost.

How much does it cost?

It depends. Laser hair removal is not cheap. It can range from $75-$1,000 per session depending on area. Discounts are available for pre-purchased packages. Most patients find themselves returning 2-3 times a year for touch-ups. Remember, no place can guarantee 100% permanent results.
