Dr. Marcy Alvarez, our board-certified dermatologist, specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

A Florida native, Dr. Alvarez graduated with honors from the University of Miami, earning dual majors in Philosophy and Microbiology & Immunology. She then completed her medical and residency training in the greater New York area. After graduating from a Bronx-based osteopathic dermatology residency, Dr. Alvarez gained extensive experience in private practice settings in Tribeca and East Hampton and a hospital-based academic role at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, an affiliate of Mount Sinai.

Dr. Alvarez returned to Miami Beach to establish Lincoln Road Dermatology, which opened in April 2011. Over the past 14 years, her practice has become a trusted destination for patients from around the globe, offering expert care and a personalized approach to dermatology in the heart of South Beach.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Alvarez enjoys exploring her passion for entrepreneurship, enjoys paddleboarding, and spending quality time with friends, her husband, their two children, and their new Havanese puppy, Mochi.
