PEEL

CHEMICAL PEELS

Peels are an excellent way to brighten, refresh, tame acne or control unwanted signs of aging or skin damage. Chemical peels can also address acne scarring and are typically applied on the face, decolletage, hands and neck.

A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new skin is typically smoother, even and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin will also be more sensitive to the sun and sunscreen must be worn after treatment.

There are several different types peels that are specific to skin tone, type and desired outcome. That's why we tailor your treatment to your specific skin issues. Let our skin care specialist formulate a treatment plan that is just right for you.

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling

Acne scars, deep wrinkles, aging, sun damage, pigmentation and more can be treated with microneedling. Microneedling is a non-surgical procedure that uses tiny needles to puncture the skin's top layer. The microinjuries then stimulate your body's natural healing response, resulting in cell turnover and an increase in collagen and elastin production. After one treatment you may see improved skin tone, reduced pore size, as well as faded scars and stretch marks. Microneedling is best done as a series of three to four sessions done one month apart.

Microneedling can also be combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for a more potent treatment known in the media as a "vampire facial."

Microneedling also proves beneficial to improving product absorption such as hyaluronic acid, retinols and other topical serums.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning exfoliates and removes the superficial layer of dead skin, as well as thin facial hair known as "peach fuzz." This procedure will leave your skin with a smooth, glowing appearance fresh out of the dermatology office. After the treatment you're makeup will glide on easier and products such as retinol and serums will penetrate deeper into the skin.

This procedure is pain-free and non-invasive. It can be added to any facial treatment or can be enhanced followed by a chemical peel.

Does the hair grow back darker and thicker? No, because we are cutting the follicle with a surgical blade. The hair is expected to grow back normally within 2-3 weeks after treatment.
