Neurotoxins are injectable substances which temporarily decrease the appearance of wrinkles caused by motion. On label FDA approval usage includes treatment of unwanted frown lines, crow's feet and forehead wrinkles.

Advanced or Off-label techniques include injection of the following areas: nose, lips, chin, neck, and scalp. The following names have been given for these techniques:

  • Micro-botox of the neck & lower face which improves fine lines and banding of neck, as well as sharpening the jawline

  • Nefertiti lift- jawline enhancement

  • Lip flip- subtle eversion of lip to enhance a pout

  • Chin-tox- to reduce dimpling of the chin area

FILLERS

Fillers are substances injected into the skin to replace volume loss, plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases, improve wrinkles otherwise resistant to botox, improve the appearance of recessed scars, and augment the bony features of the face (define jawline and chin). Many are made of hyaluronic acid while other contain different materials which promote growth of your own collagen.

Sculptra is unique in that it stimulates collagen production for a gradual, more subtle improvement. Results can be quite remarkable without appearing changed overnight.

PRP THERAPY

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) methods can be used to restore fuller, healthier looking hair or during microneedling facial treatments to increase collagen and elastin production for facial rejuvenation.

Statistics show that 35 million men and 21 million women in the United States experience hair loss or hair thinning by age 35 that continues throughout adulthood. This nonsurgical treatment begins by extracting PRP from your blood that is loaded with growth factors and essential proteins. The plasma is then injected into your scalp to stimulate hair follicles and promote hair regrowth.

For facial rejuvenation, the plasma will be used as a "glide" during microneedling allowing the plasma to penetrate deeper into the skin layers.

All of this is performed in one office visit with no downtime or anesthesia required.

SCLEROTHERAPY

Varicose and spider veins can be treated with sclerotherapy, a highly effective treatment using injections to reduce unwanted leg veins. Compared to vascular laser treatments, injections are typically more cost effective and works better for the same purpose.

This procedure involves a sterile injection with sodium chloride into the problem area. This attempts to scar down the vessel and allows your body to naturally remove undesired veins.

Multiple treatments are generally required at two to three month intervals, but will be determined on an individual basis. All visible veins that you would like treated in a given session will be injected, but will be limited by the maximum amount of solution that is thought to be safe.

Please schedule consult to see if sclerotherapy is right for you.
