Tretinoin 0.05%

Tretinoin is a topical retinoid medication commonly used to help treat:

  • Acne

  • Clogged pores

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Fine lines and signs of photoaging

  • Post-inflammatory discoloration

How to Use

Apply a pea-sized amount to the entire affected area nightly as tolerated unless otherwise directed.

Apply to clean, completely dry skin.

Avoid the eyes, corners of the nose, and lips.

Important Information

  • Mild dryness, peeling, redness, or irritation are common when starting treatment.

  • Start slowly if instructed by your provider.

  • Use moisturizer regularly.

  • Daily sunscreen use is strongly recommended.

  • Acne may temporarily appear worse during the first several weeks of treatment.

  • Avoid waxing or harsh exfoliating products on treated areas unless instructed.

Please Contact the Office If:

  • Severe irritation or burning develops

  • Significant swelling or blistering occurs

  • You develop persistent rash or discomfort

  • You are not tolerating treatment as expected
